Behind the tissue: Antonio Brancaccio, Process Engineer Paper Processing

In August, I celebrate my 10th anniversary working at WEPA. Although 10 years appears like a long time, when I look back, it feels like the time has passed quickly and it gives me the impression I haven't really been here that long.

As a matter of fact, I do have a lot in common with WEPA and a long history. I did an internship at a school in Mainz and acquired some knowledge of the paper industry, because my father already worked at WEPA. After my studies, I too started here at WEPA and my role over the years has been very varied and exciting. In my position I deal with many different types of people, across different departments. I organise, mediate and facilitate all of the different requirements when it comes to the production processes in the business, doing this to the best of my ability.

I have a strong sense that the Coronavirus crisis has brought us together even closer as a team. It has shown how well coordinated we are as a group and how everyone can rely on each other. That means a lot to me because in general, loyalty means a lot to me. If I feel comfortable somewhere, I like to stay within in a team, a city or a club. Just like in my local football club, where I started playing at the age of 5 and proud to say I am still active today, without ever having changed clubs.
