WEPA foundation endows fire brigades

The elemental importance of hygiene became particularly clear during the coronavirus pandemic. Based on the situation of tighter hygiene requirements, the WEPA foundation set itself the task of supporting facilities that serve the common good in cases of need. For example, all fire brigades in the Arnsberg urban area are currently being provided with hygiene equipment to ensure best possible protection for their members.

The WEPA foundation provides the fire brigades with hygiene paper, soap dispensers and sanitiser dispensers as well as consumables for filling them. These are products of the BlackSatino brand, which particularly focus on sustainability. This supports another concern of the foundation: contributing to more sustainability.

Ingmar Lohmann, Member of the Board of the WEPA foundation: “The WEPA foundation is active in the fields of hygiene, sustainability, life-long learning and family entrepreneurship. We are pleased that equipping the Arnsberg fire brigades with sustainable hygiene products relates to two of these areas at once and that we are able to support those who help each and every one of us in emergency situations.”

Bernd Löhr, Chief of the Arnsberg Fire Brigade: “Thanks to support by the WEPA foundation we now have better and optimal hygiene equipment at all our locations. In compliance with the hygiene regulations, which have once again been increased due to the pandemic, we can once again start face-to-face training so that our members continue to be optimally prepared for fire-fighting operations.”
