At WEPA, we have an interest in informing ourselves about politically relevant issues and developments at an early stage and recording their impact on the company.
We firmly believe that politicians and companies have equal responsibility concerning answering the key questions of the future. WEPA considers transparent and open dialogue with political stakeholders to be an important part of our social responsibility.
In our political communication at WEPA we take a stand on issues – not on parties or players. We are open to dialogue with all relevant stakeholders.

Our products contribute to a clean and healthy environment that promotes well-being and reduces the risk of infection. We are committed to improving the economic, political and social framework conditions so that hygiene is given high priority in our society.
Responsibility for sustainability and progress
We believe in a policy that supports and promotes sustainable production processes in order to strengthen people’s environmental awareness.
Responsibility for resource conservation and the circular economy
As a pioneer in sustainability in our industry and an expert in the production of hygiene paper from recycled fibres, we are committed to political initiatives that reduce the impact on land consumption and biodiversity and enable cascading use throughout Europe.
We also continuously monitor developments in the areas of energy, decarbonisation, bio-economy, climate, fibre sourcing, waste, water and air. Thanks to our holistic approach, we respond to changes at an early stage and undertake specific measures to promote responsible solutions along the entire value chain.
The exchange between politics, the economic sector and society forms the basis for democratic decisions. We are committed to transparency in our political work and expect the same from our business partners in accordance with our Code of Conduct. WEPA respects the responsibilities and duties of political institutions and communicates honestly, transparently and based on facts. In order to effectively represent our interests, we are networked and organised within various associations.
