High quality standards both during production and in the procurement of the necessary materials and services are the basis for the manufacture of our hygiene paper. For us, quality does not simply begin with incoming goods, but plays a major role throughout the entire supply chain.
To ensure that our quality products meet all requirements, we also rely on long-term supplier partnerships. Therefore we also consider the WEPA values of respect, commitment and sustainability when selecting our business partners.

Long-term partnerships and responsibility in our value chain
Long-term supplier relationships based on partnership are essential for WEPA. This applies particularly to the procurement of our raw materials pulp, recovered paper and auxiliary and operating materials such as packaging, but also to energy, machinery, equipment and services such as logistics services. This is why we select suppliers according to a defined process and binding criteria. Our WEPA values of respect, commitment and sustainability are also important here. This begins with our principles for purchasing:
- our suppliers must comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct. This fundamentally includes social and ecological issues, and you undertake to comply with this when you sign a contract.
- For the procurement of raw materials, the CO2eq emissions of the upstream value chains are taken into account.
- The promotion of biodiversity and organic cultivation play a particularly important role in the selection of suppliers for our virgin fibres.
- We enter into long-term relationships with local suppliers where possible.
