Behind the tissue: Artur Miastkowski, Process Engineer

I have several activities that I enjoy doing in my free time. One of them is hiking in the mountains with my fiancée, because it is an excellent way to connect with nature and spend quality time together.

Another passion of mine is mountain biking, which my brother introduced me to a few years ago. I have been hooked ever since. It is a great way to explore new trails, get some fresh air and take in the stunning scenery. Running is another hobby that I enjoy. It helps me to clear my mind and stay focused, not only in my personal life but also at work. That is why, at WEPA, I belong to both a cycling group and a running group, which gives me the opportunity to pursue my interests and participate in races on behalf of the company.

Speaking of work, I have been working at WEPA since 2014, and I find my job challenging and rewarding. As a process engineer in the paper making department, I am responsible for ensuring that the paper production process runs efficiently and effectively. It is a job that requires a lot of attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Although it can get a little stressful at times, especially when trying to improve the process. But my hobbies, like mountain biking, running and hiking help me to manage stress levels and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

In addition to the company's various sporting offers, the focus is also on individual development, which I am very thankful for. During my employment at WEPA, I have been given the chance to continue further education while working. This has made it possible for me to complete a Bachelor of Engineering and I am now about to finish my master's degree. I am grateful to WEPA for giving me the opportunity to become a process engineer in paper manufacturing, a job that I really enjoy and find fulfilling.
