From my former life as a banker, I already had a large family with four children when I joined WEPA almost 10 years ago. However, this is not really something special here, as some colleagues have several children. In the meantime, however, we have had two more children and that makes me, as far as I know, the "leader" in that case. I remember a "family-day" in Müschede, where I showed up with the whole family - that was already a highlight, fitting to the motto of the day.
At WEPA I see many parallels to the family: people and human values are the focus of attention for everyone here. Especially in times of corona with school and kindergarten closures, it was simply great how quickly and flexibely the company reacted to the changed situation and how much understanding was shown. This makes my job really easy to reconcile with our large family even during this time.
Whether at work or with my family - in general I am very relaxed and solution-oriented. This helps me to lead a team at work and also to bring up my children at home. The most important thing for me is that my children grow up independently. And that's how I keep it with my team. Working independently within the framework of rules and risks - that works very well.
