We think of sustainability not only as using sustainable raw materials for the production and marketing of our products, but also as a social responsibility. We feel that we are obliged to do business as a company in a responsible, future-oriented manner.
We do not consider productivity and environmental awareness to be contradictory.
We thereby declare quality, protection of the environment, product reliability, work safety, energy efficiency and their continued improvement as an essential principle of our company culture. All business entities and each employee are involved in the management process.
We are convinced that productivity and environmental awareness can be combined free of contradiction. In 2019, the company's efforts to protect the environment were conducted in accordance with the standards of ISO 14001:2004.
Above all, we also support the use of renewable raw materials, wood in particular. The FSC label was re-validated in 2018. We thereby support the environmentally responsible use of our forests.
The certification seals "Keimling" and "OK Compost" for the sustainable use of raw materials in the production of bioplastics products have developed in recent years into a benchmark for consumers who want to contribute to a reduction in pollution and the consumption of fossil fuels (petroleum) by purchasing biodegradable products. This label corresponds to the European norm EN 13432.
In light of an increasingly important environmental service sector that requires and promotes the use of recycled materials, the production of various household products necessitates the usage of recycled raw materials. These products are correspondingly marked with the “the Blue Angel” label.
We build upon socially compatible standards in the production process as well in our mutual relationships with our employees and our business customers. At the workplace, in health and safety, we have been certified in work protection per 18001:2007 since 2010, in energy management since 2012 per 50001:2011.
